Matt Schubert

Life is a continuous cycle of experience and interpretation. When faced with challenging circumstances, or when powerful emotions overwhelm our senses, it’s easy to lose control of that cycle. As a mental health professional, my goal is to build awareness of how our experiences impact the beliefs we hold about ourselves and the world around us. I’ve seen firsthand the power of mindfulness to unlock positive change and nurture an environment for growth.

Human connection is not limited by demographic boundaries—it is a universal truth. Though I enjoy working with clients of all ages, I specialize in matters related to childhood and adolescence. As the father of two young daughters, I draw on both my personal and professional experience to connect with young people in a meaningful way. Practicing traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), I work with individuals on managing stress, behavioral challenges, coping with difficult emotions, and navigating life transitions, among other matters.

I believe that nobody is mentally ill. We are all just on a spectrum of wellness, and where we fall on that spectrum can change over the course of a lifetime. I look forward to connecting with you and joining you on your journey of mental wellness.
