Meet Your Therapist

Ming-Hui Huang

I am here to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted for exactly who you are. You don’t have to hide the parts of yourself you’ve learned to keep quiet. Here, even the hardest experiences can be met with curiosity and compassion.

My approach to therapy is integrative and personalized. I believe every person is unique, so your therapy should be too, shaped around who you are and what you’re actually going through. I draw on a range of modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Coherence Therapy, somatic therapy, attachment-based approaches, play therapy, and art therapy, alongside Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Working from a trauma-informed lens, I pay close attention to what’s happening beneath the surface: the patterns, protective responses, and past experiences quietly shaping your present. I’m especially drawn to approaches like IFS that are non-judgmental and non-pathologizing, because they honor the wisdom and resilience already present in every person. I believe that within each of us is the capacity to find our own way forward and grow into who we’re truly meant to be.

I work with children, young adults, adults, couples, and families facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship and attachment concerns, and identity exploration. My style is warm, curious, collaborative, and compassionate, and I approach every client with humility, knowing that your experiences and your way of making sense of the world are uniquely your own.

I bring both personal and professional perspective to this work. As a first-generation immigrant from Taiwan and a parent myself, I understand firsthand the push and pull of navigating different cultures, family expectations, and the question of who you want to become, both in my own life and in the families, I sit with every day. Before training as a therapist, I spent nearly two decades in business and human resources in the semiconductor industry, which gave me a grounded understanding of people under real pressure, and the patience to sit with it.

I offer therapy in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese, and I welcome clients from a wide range of cultural, economic, and identity backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ clients and families, neurodivergent children and their parents, and people from historically marginalized communities. Wherever you’re starting from, I’d be honored to walk alongside you; together, we can work toward creating a better and more fulfilling chapter in your life.
